Stop Drinking and Create the Life You Love! Hey Sister! Do you find yourself saying, “I need to get control of my drinking?” Do you google “How to know if I’m drinking too much” or “Am I an alcoholic?” Feeling stressed most of the time? Is your health going downhill and it makes you feel like crap? Is your anxiety through the roof, so much that you wake up at 3am with your heart racing and thinking negative thoughts about yourself? You hide it well. Not many people know. You show up for work, you workout (sometimes), you walk around with a smile on your face for the world to see and meanwhile you think... I wish I was a better mom… I want to be a better person. What’s wrong with me? Why can’t I just quit? Yet you still crave that next drink, feel like a failure, and sometimes you wonder who you’ve become. You are sick of this cycle with alcohol and you wish you could get your drinking under control. Girl, I see you and I get you! I’m Michelle Porterfield, a Stop Over Drinking and Transormational Results Coach. For so many years I experienced all of this. I was so afraid of what my life would look like alcohol-free. How would I have fun? What would I tell everyone? How would I travel without a drink in my hand? How would I handle stress? I got to a point where I was sick of being stuck. I had tried to stop drinking and I had failed too many times. I made the choice to choose something different – me. It wasn’t easy, it took surrender, daily awareness, new routines, getting honest with myself, and learning to actually feel my emotions instead of stuffing them down… oh…and lots of grace. Friend, it was so worth it. My life was truly transformed on the other side of drinking. And yours can be too. Here‘s the deal: Drinking less is just the first step! I believe that‘s why it can be scary. We know deep down there’s more. Once we see what’s underneath the alcohol, true freedom is found. I am here to help you do just that. So if you’re ready to get out of the daily cycle that leads you to drink, learn why you do the things you do and how to change them, calm your anxiety, cultivate healthy relationships, love and value yourself again, reignite your faith, and create a life of fulfillment. Then now is your time Sister! Let’s do this. Hey Sisters,
I hope you find this discussion about habits helpful. Recognizing the habits in our daily lives is an important first step to making positive changes. I encourage you to take some time to complete the action items I discussed: writing down your current habits, things you want to change, and new habits you'd like to try. Please don't be too hard on yourself if change doesn't happen overnight. Forming new habits takes time and patience.
You are invited to join the full 6-week program for community support. I also offer one-on-one coaching for anyone struggling with alcohol who wants extra accountability.

274 \\ Surrendering and Submitting to Find Your Freedom.
Thursday Apr 04, 2024
Thursday Apr 04, 2024
I wanted to share an encouraging message with you today about the power of surrender and submission. So many of us carry heavy burdens and feel like we have to control every aspect of our lives. But true freedom comes when we lay those burdens down at Jesus' feet.
During quiet time with the Lord, I was reminded again about the beauty of simply trusting Him with every part of my day. When we get out of God's way and let Him direct our paths, such a deep peace washes over us. All the "what ifs" and worries fade away.
Sisters, I encourage you to set aside even just 10 minutes today to be fully present with our Father. Pour out your heart to Him and then listen for His still, small voice. He longs to show you areas in your life that you can surrender over to His control.
This act of surrender is how real change happens from the inside out. I'd love to hear how your quiet time goes - please comment below and share your thoughts! You've all been such a blessing in my own journey.

273 \\ Overcoming Discomfort to Reach Your Goal and Why it Feels so Hard.
Thursday Mar 28, 2024
Thursday Mar 28, 2024
Hey Sisters,
I hope you're all doing well and finding moments of peace this week. Our discussion last episode about facing resistance really struck a chord with me, and I wanted to reach out personally to encourage you further.
As I reflected on my own journey, I'm reminded of how much discomfort I avoided for so long by hiding from hard feelings and conversations. It was only by facing that discomfort head-on and learning to sit in it that I was able to grow. I know from experience how scary that can feel, but I also know the freedom and clarity on the other side.
Please remember that you are so much more than any single behavior or action. One slip up does not define you or mean you've failed. Have compassion for yourself as you work through this process. And know that you don't have to do it alone - I'm here to support you every step of the way.
If you find yourself avoiding or making excuses, don't beat yourself up. Just take a deep breath and commit to facing one small thing each day. Even tiny acts of courage add up over time. You've got this. I believe in you and can't wait to see how you blossom as you learn to feel fully.
You are invited to join the full 6-week program for community support. I also offer one-on-one coaching for anyone struggling with alcohol who wants extra accountability.

269 \\ How do we overcome fear? Questions from the Stop Over Drinking Students.
Thursday Feb 29, 2024
Thursday Feb 29, 2024
Hi Sisters,
Opening up about our deepest fears and doubts can be so challenging, yet so important for our personal growth.
As we explored, fear often arises from past experiences that our minds hold onto for protection. But in the process, those fears can hold us back from our true potential and desires. It takes courage to face them, yet I know from my own journey that it's so worth it.
I wanted to remind you of the F.E.A.R. process we discussed - Face, Embrace, Ask, Answer, Release. Taking small steps to face what's coming up for you physically and emotionally, without judgment, can help release the grip of fear over time. And remember - you don't have to do it alone. That's what this community is here for.
If any part of our discussion resonated with you and you'd like someone to walk through the process with, I have some availability for 1:1 coaching sessions. Or feel free to share your thoughts in our Facebook group.
However you choose to move forward, remember that you are so much stronger than any fear. I have faith that as we continue to face them together, our lights will only shine brighter.
Love you,
Michelle
