Most women think they have a drinking problem.
They don’t.
They have an urge problem… and a response problem.
Because here’s what no one tells you:
An urge to drink isn’t permanent.
It’s not even that powerful.
It’s a wave.
It rises… peaks… and passes.
Sometimes in as little as 15–20 minutes (shoutout to Annie Grace and This Naked Mind for bringing language to this 🙌).
But what do we do?
We don’t wait.
We don’t question it.
We don’t get curious.
We OBEY it.
And in that moment, we trade:
→ peace
→ clarity
→ self-trust
→ the version of us we actually want to become
…for a feeling that was going to pass anyway.
Let me ask you something real:
Are you really willing to give up the woman you’re becoming…
for 18 minutes of discomfort?
Because that’s the deal.
Not forever.
Not even the whole night.
Just a small window where your brain is loud, uncomfortable, and looking for relief.
And every time you don’t give in?
You’re not just skipping a drink.
You’re:
✔️ rewiring your brain
✔️ building discipline
✔️ becoming a woman who keeps her word to herself
So next time the urge hits, don’t panic.
Pause.
Say: “I’m having an urge.”
Set a timer for 18 minutes.
And just… watch what happens.
You might be surprised how powerful you actually are.
If you’re ready to stop the cycle for good and actually understand what’s driving it, that’s the work we do inside my programs.

372 \\ Why You Keep Starting Over (And How to Actually Stay Consistent)
Thursday Apr 23, 2026
Thursday Apr 23, 2026
If you’ve ever told yourself…
“I’ll start again Monday.”
This episode is for you.
Because here’s the truth most people won’t say—
You don’t keep starting over because you don’t care.
And it’s not because you lack discipline.
It’s because when life actually hits—
stress, emotions, boredom, that “just one won’t hurt” thought…
You don’t have a different response yet.
So you fall back into the same pattern.
I just released a new podcast episode breaking this down:
👉 why this cycle keeps happening
👉 and what actually needs to change if you want it to stick
And if you’re listening and thinking…
“Yeah, this is exactly what I do—but I don’t know how to change it in the moment”
That’s exactly what we work on inside the Sisterhood Collective.
This is a 6-week coaching space where I help you:
– stop the start/stop cycle
– handle urges and emotions in real time
– and finally build consistency that lasts
We start in May.
Wednesdays at 1PM EST.
If you’re ready to stop doing this on your own, you can grab your spot here:

P.S. You don’t need another “Day 1.”
You just need support in the moments that normally take you out.

371 \\ Stop Starting Over: A Better Way to Set Drinking Goals
Thursday Apr 16, 2026
Thursday Apr 16, 2026
Can we just be honest for a second?
The whole “start over at day 1” thing…
It’s exhausting.
It sounds motivating at first, but what it actually does for most women is pile on pressure, shame, and that quiet voice that says, “Why even try again?”
And that’s the trap.
Because this journey was never meant to be about perfection.
It’s about transformation.
You’re not trying to become a woman who never messes up.
You’re becoming a woman who doesn’t quit on herself when she does.
That’s a completely different mindset—and it changes everything.
Inside my coaching, we don’t obsess over streaks or punish slips.
We get curious.
We get honest.
And we actually change the patterns that keep you stuck.
Because the goal isn’t just to “drink less”…
It’s to feel free.
Clear.
Aligned with who God is calling you to be.
And if you’re tired of starting over, I want to invite you into something different.
👉 Send email work with me here: michelle@setfreesisterhood.com
We’ll walk this out together—with truth, grace, and real growth.
No shame.
No starting over.
Just forward.
I’m here when you’re ready.

370 \\ Obedience Isn’t Comfortable, But It Changes Everything Part 2.
Thursday Apr 09, 2026
Thursday Apr 09, 2026
Let’s be honest about something…
You probably don’t need more clarity.
You need to act on what you already know.
Most people stay stuck not because they’re confused…
…but because they’re avoiding what feels uncomfortable.
Obedience doesn’t come with a full plan.
It comes with a step.
And then another.
Today’s podcast episode is part two—and this is where we get real about what it actually looks like to move.
Not perfectly.
Not confidently.
But obediently.
If you’re tired of overthinking and ready to start walking this out…
And if you want support in actually doing it?
That’s exactly what I help women with.

369 \\ That Idea Didn’t Just Come From You - Part 1.
Thursday Apr 02, 2026
Thursday Apr 02, 2026
That idea you had—the one that lit you up?
It wasn’t random.
And it wasn’t just for you to think about.
It was meant to be acted on.
But a lot of times… we don’t move.
We overthink.
We question.
We distract ourselves.
We wait to feel ready.
And then one day… we see someone else doing something similar and think, “Wait… that was mine.”
I don’t think that’s coincidence.
I think ideas are meant to be brought to life… and they find someone willing.
Today’s podcast episode is part one of a conversation we need to have.
Not about shame.
But about awareness.
Because you can’t step into what God has for you if you keep ignoring what He’s already shown you.
Part two drops next… and we’re going to talk about what to actually DO with this.

368 \\ Guilt or Conviction? How to Know the Difference.
Thursday Mar 19, 2026
Thursday Mar 19, 2026
There’s a question that came up in my women’s collective the other day that stopped everyone in their tracks:
How do I know if what I’m feeling is guilt… or conviction?
Because they can feel similar at first.
But they lead you in completely different directions.
And if you don’t learn how to tell the difference…
you’ll either stay stuck in shame
or miss the very thing that’s trying to lead you into freedom.
Here’s the simplest way I can explain it:
Guilt feels like weight.
Conviction feels like direction.
Guilt is heavy, looping, and personal.
It sounds like:
“What’s wrong with me?”
“I should be better by now.”
“I keep messing this up.”
It sits in your body—tight, uncomfortable, draining.
And it doesn’t actually move you forward.
It just keeps you focused on yourself.
Conviction is different.
It’s clear. Specific. And grounded.
It sounds like:
“This isn’t who you are.”
“There’s a better way.”
“Come back.”
It may feel uncomfortable—but there’s clarity in it.
There’s a next step. There’s movement.
Guilt says: “You are the problem.”
Conviction says: “This isn’t aligned—but you are still loved.”
One keeps you hiding.
The other leads you into healing.
And so many women I work with?
They’ve spent years trying to grow… while carrying guilt the entire time.
No wonder they feel stuck.
You can’t move forward when you’re weighed down by something God never asked you to carry.
So here’s a simple place to start:
Grab a journal and ask yourself:
-
What am I feeling right now?
-
Does it feel like weight… or direction?
-
Is this tearing me down or calling me forward?
-
God, is this from You—or is this something I need to release?
And then be still long enough to hear the answer.
And if you’re reading this thinking…
“I don’t trust what I’m hearing.”
“I keep going in circles.”
“I don’t know how to sort this out on my own anymore.”
That’s exactly where coaching comes in.
This is the work.
Learning how to:
-
discern what’s actually true
-
release what’s keeping you stuck
-
and respond to God in a way that creates real change
Not just awareness… but transformation.
You don’t have to keep carrying this alone.

367 \\ Breathing and Meditation: Is It Biblical or New Age?
Thursday Mar 12, 2026
Thursday Mar 12, 2026
Hi friend,
There’s a conversation that’s been quietly happening in Christian spaces for a while now.
Some believers hear words like meditation, breathwork, or nervous system regulation and immediately think:
“That sounds New Age.”
But when you actually open the Bible and look closely… you find something interesting.
Scripture talks about meditation constantly.
Psalm 1 tells us to meditate on God’s Word day and night.
Joshua 1 says the same thing.
Psalm 46 says, “Be still and know that I am God.”
And when God created Adam, He breathed life into him.
Breath. Stillness. Meditation. Renewing the mind.
These aren’t modern wellness ideas.
They’re biblical concepts.
What we’re seeing through neuroscience today is that practices like slowing our breath, calming the body, and focusing our minds on truth actually help rewire the brain and regulate the nervous system.
In other words… the way God designed our bodies already supports the transformation He calls us into.
In this week’s episode of the Set Free Sisterhood Podcast, I’m unpacking:
-
What the Bible actually says about meditation
-
Why breath is so significant in Scripture
-
How the nervous system impacts healing and emotional regulation
-
And why learning to calm your body is not unspiritual
If you’ve ever felt unsure about these topics, this episode will help bring clarity.
And if you’re realizing that your mind and body have been stuck in patterns of stress, anxiety, or coping behaviors like alcohol… you don’t have to navigate that alone.
This is exactly the kind of work I help women walk through in one-on-one coaching.
Together we look at:
-
the patterns that keep you stuck
-
the emotional and nervous system responses underneath them
-
and how to renew your mind and realign your life with truth

366 \\ Understanding Attachment Styles as an Adult Woman.
Thursday Mar 05, 2026
Thursday Mar 05, 2026
Hey sister,
Have you ever noticed how you react in relationships and thought…
“Why am I like this?”
Why you:
-
Overthink texts
-
Feel anxious when someone pulls away
-
Shut down when things get too close
-
Or feel drawn to intensity over stability
This week on the podcast, I’m breaking down attachment styles — what they are, how they were formed, and why they’re still affecting your relationships today.
And no, this is not about blaming your parents.
It’s about understanding how your nervous system learned to stay safe in connection.
You adapted.
You survived.
You created a strategy.
But the strategy that worked when you were little may not be serving the woman you are now.
Here’s the truth:
Awareness changes everything.
When you understand your attachment style, you stop shaming yourself.
You stop labeling yourself as “too much” or “too distant.”
You start healing.
And if you’re realizing that your attachment patterns are deeply affecting your dating life, marriage, friendships, or even your relationship with God — you don’t have to untangle that alone.
This is the exact kind of work we do in one-on-one coaching.
We:
-
Identify your patterns
-
Regulate your nervous system
-
Heal emotional triggers
-
Build secure attachment from the inside out
You don’t need more willpower.
You need healing.
If you’re ready for that kind of support, you can apply for one-on-one coaching here: Email me at michelle@setfreesisterhood.com
You are not broken.
You are wired — and wiring can be rewired.
Let’s do this.

365 \\ Feeling Unfulfilled? This Might Be Why.
Thursday Feb 26, 2026
Thursday Feb 26, 2026
Hey sister,
Let me ask you something honestly…
When was the last time you slowed down long enough to admit what you actually want?
Not what sounds spiritual.
Not what seems responsible.
Not what keeps everyone else comfortable.
What you desire.
In this week’s podcast episode, we’re diving into how to reconnect with your true desires — and how to know if they’re aligned with God or just coming from ego, fear, or old patterns.
Here’s what I’ll walk you through:
-
Why disappointment is often a clue to your deepest desires
-
What healthy desire actually feels like
-
How to filter your desires through faith instead of shame
-
A simple tool you can use this week to start living in alignment
A lot of women tell me they feel stuck.
But most of the time?
They’re not stuck.
They’re disconnected.
Disconnected from themselves.
Disconnected from what they long for.
Disconnected from what God may already be stirring inside them.
And when you ignore desire long enough… you either numb it, or you resent your life.
Neither is freedom.
Let’s stop muting what God is trying to grow in you.
